Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Earth

Earth’s birth created heavenly mirth.

And then…reality struck.

And the rocks cried out.

Here’s a favorite photo of mine that represents my personal heaven on earth:

Mounds of Earth, reaching up towards the heavens

And here are some earthy finds I came across in the Holy Land, where many pilgrims travel to try to make sense of heaven on earth.

  1. There are a couple places on the Kings River near Cedar Grove (Kings Canyon National Park), where in low water years you can rock hop out into the middle of the river and fish both sides. Sometimes though, I don’t fish, once I’m out there… I just sit and enjoy the water roaring down either side of me, with the high canyon walls towering over me, and the smell of the mountains filling me completely.
